Feel No Pain
The Vegetarian Festival in Phuket, Thailand has been around for almost 150 years and it is the physical embodiment of the island’s living culture. It is a time of fasting and cleansing while celebrating the Nine Emperor Gods. I am grateful to the locals who welcomed me to participate in the festival. It is a challenge trying to capture such an incredible experience, and I try to be mindful of not interfering with my camera. I always ask my subjects if I may take their portraits first and my sincerest thank you to those who obliged. I am honoured to be a guest in your country
